Gene Boyd is an Air Force veteran who joined the F.A.R.M. staff in March, 2017. His non-profit experience comes from volunteering with other non-profits, and serving seven years as executive director of The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
While at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, Gene served as a founding member on the board of trustees for a statewide collaboration of food banks to form the non-profit Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.
Having been raised on a small family farm, Gene is an advocate for growing fresh food. He is a strong believer in the power of “dirt therapy”, and is proud to serve alongside the F.A.R.M. team on this critical mission to help veterans.
“When I first met Steve and James, it was their love for farming and heartfelt desire to help veterans that made me want to be a part of F.A.R.M.” – geno.
